Jan. 12, 1945 Burma To My Dearest Wife, I received two letter from you to-day, they were dated 21 and 27 Dec. I just finished writing a letter to Dad. I write to him once a week. I wrote to Ray & Anita a long time ago but have not received and answer yet. I will try to send you the Roundup as soon as I get one. Papers are even hard to get here. There is a lot of interesting news in that paper about this theater. Did Jane and John eat supper with you? You mentioned cleaning the kitchen, hope they didn’t disappoint you. It must be wonderful to come home on furlough and be with your wife. I would give anything to see you darling. Diana received a lot of gifts, Xmas. What did she think about them?
