Dearest Mary,
I don’t have anything to do tonight so I have been reading. I listened to the news this evening,
sounded pretty good. I hear broadcasts from the States every day. I like Glenn Millers recordings, and I
hear him every Sat.
I still love the cig. Lighter that you bought me while we were in Fresno. I run out of flint today
but I borrowed one from Jaffee, his folks sent him some. It works O.K. and I couldn’t do without it. If you
can find any flints please send me some.
No mail came in today so I’m not the only one that didn’t get any. I hope some comes in
tomorrow.
How is Diana? I suppose she is having a big time with her Christmas gifts.
Take care of yourself darling.
I love you Mary.
Yours forever,
Earl
