Dearest Mary,
I got some mail today - three V-mails from you, and a letter from Whitaker, he was in my old
outfit. Two of your letters were dated Feb. 22 - the other 26th. I was sure glad to hear from you. This was
the fifth day so if I didn’t get any mail today I was going to give up hopes.
Does Diana like to play with tammy? I know they used to have several disputes over their toys.
Maybe they will get more acquainted when they get a little older.
I went to the movie last night - “The Animals Kingdom.” Jack Carson, Ann Sheridan, Jane Wayman, Alexis
Smith - I can’t think of the other actors names. It was a pretty good show, but I can’t see any connection
between the name and the show.
I just finished eating supper - we had salmon loaf, peas & corn, corn bread, peaches, and coffee.
I don’t know why but I’ve not had much of an appetite lately.
Sounds like you are having more winter back home - you mentioned having rain, sleet, and
snow. You will surely have some warm weather pretty soon. The weather was warm today, although it is
a little cooler this evening.
I sent you a money order Feb. 1. You haven’t mentioned anything about it in your letter so I was
wondering if you received it. It was for $90.
I must stop for tonight, honey.
I love you very much, Mary.
Yours forever,

Earl
