Dearest Mary,
I received two V-mails from you today, they were dated March 13 and 15th. I hope I get a letter
from you soon, as you know I don’t like to get V-mails.
Lambourn and I went fish8ing this evening. We had pretty good reels but the poles were not
very good. We had a good time even if we didn’t catch any fish. He likes to fish just as well as I do - you
can imagine what the conversation is most of the time. We have planned some swell trips we are going
to take after the war is over.
I’m glad you are having some warm weather back home. I don’t think you will have very many
more cold days. It was pretty hot here today, seems to get more warmer every-day.
Too bad about Gene Richardson getting killed - this is sure a tough break for his family. They
seemed to get along very well.
I just listened to the news - I don’t see how Germany can last much longer.
I love you as always.
Your husband,
Earl
