March 31, 1945 Burma Dearest Mary, I received two V-mails today, one from you and one from Bob Ludlow. They were postmarked March 16th. That’s the first time I have heard from Bob in several weeks. He said that he had been pretty busy trying to get the books up to date. He also told me about Gene Richardson’s death. I went to the movie ton-night but the projector broke, so we didn’t get to see any of the show. Don’t seem like tomorrow is Easter Sunday. Time has passed pretty fast for me. I am going to church - 9:30 tomorrow morning. I was just thinking about the time you came to K.C, that was around Easter. I was sure glad to see you, you were wearing a new suit and hat.
