Dearest Mary,
You are going to be missing some letters from me. I didn’t have a chance to write to you for two
days. I can’t tell you why I couldn’t write to you darling. I hope you understand. This is the first time I
have missed writing to you in a long time.
I was sure glad to hear that you are not sick from giving some of your blood away. Be sure to
take care of yourself, and get as much rest as you can for the next few days.
Pete Hurst must have hated to go back overseas, after spending 30 days at home, I know I
would. I remember Bud Merrit, he must have seen a lot of action.
The weather has been much warmer this week. Looks like the hot weather is staring for sure,
even the nights are warm. I’m glad to hear that you are having some warm weather, I’ll bet you enjoy it
after having such a cold winter.
Thanks for sending the news clippings honey, I enjoyed reading them a lot.
Our movies are shown at a camp nearby, we usually go in trucks. I’m not going tonight because
I’m too tires.
The last mail I got was three days ago. I got two from you and one from Neel. Also the Field and
Stream you sent me. Your letters were written Feb 13 and 16th. Hope I get some mail tomorrow.
I love you as always, darling
Your husband,
Earl
