- Notes
- Ed Maddocks rested very well last night, but his condition is not materially changed from last evening. He has been unconscious since Sunday, But this morning he appeared to take some notice of what was going on around him. He is ina very bad condition but it is hoped will pull through all right. Later - Ed. Maddock died just after noon, after suffering untold agonies. He was taken sick Sunday and was unconscious the greater portion of the time up to his death. The arrangements for the funeral have not been made, but it will likely occur tomorrow. Ed. was one of the best known young men of this city and was a jolly good hearted fellow whom it was a pleasure to call friend. Only Saturday he was full of life and hope and now lies cold in death. He is a son of T. R. Maddock and lived with him on East Main st. His brother Herman is employed at the Leader office and Elmer is a partner with Ed. Beher in the barber shop of Beher & Maddock. The blow falls very suddenly upon the family, who is thus visited by the dark winged angel of death in its most terrible form.
