Burma
Dearest Mary,
I just saw a pretty good stage show; several GI’s were dressed up as cowboys. They played
western songs, also some square-dances. One of the boys played a banjo very good, seems like I’ve seen
home somewhere before, maybe in some show back home.
My arm is a little sore tonight, we got two shots today. I think they were for typhus and cholera.
I don’t think I will ever forget the first ones I got at Ft. Ben. I felt like I had a fever for two or three days.
Just a few letters came in today. I didn’t get any mail to-day, hope I have better luck tomorrow Good-night darling.
I love you very, very, much, Mary
Yours forever,
Earl
