Somewhere in the mts.
March 21, 1944
Hi Honey,
Maybe I will beat this letter home again I hope so but I don’t know yet. I was on the 11:00 to
7:00 yesterday and will be on the 7:00 to 3:00 so I’m going to try to get a pass. I hope you are having
swell weather like this at Fresno, I’m sitting out in the sun and its really hot. I just wrote a letter to Bob &
Dad so I only have 6 more to write before I get caught up. I’ll have to wait until I get back to camp to
write the rest of them.
I just shaved in this nice cold water so I feel pretty clean now.
Two G.I.’s are trying to make up their mind to go swimming in this cold water but of now they
only have their feet wet. Ha!
Well I must stop for now.
Hope I see Wed. night - 5:30
Yours forever.
Earl
