Dearest Mary,
I received one letter from you today - postmarked March 6th. Also the Guide Light. My name was
in the Guide paper, remember I told you that I wrote them a letter not long ago.
You mentioned getting six letters from me on March 5th that’s not bad for one day. I wish I could
get six from you. I wrote a letter to Dot thanking her for her Xmas presents; it must have been lost
somewhere. I’ll write her again soon. I must write E. Painter too, I had about forgotten him. Thanks for
the reminder, honey.
If you get Millard Berry’s address I will write to him, we might even get a chance to see each
other. I didn’t know he was over here.
I just found out who sent me the book from Hodgman Sporting Goods Co. Lambourne - he sent
for one so he told them to send me one too. I was sure surprised when he told me!
The weather is sure hot today. I wish it would rain so that it would be a little cooler. Its not so
bad in the evening; I have been sleeping under one or two blankets.
All my love, Mary
Your husband,
Earl
