Dearest Mary,
I received two V-mails today, one from you and one from Bob Ludlow. They were postmarked
March 16th. That’s the first time I have heard from Bob in several weeks. He said that he had been pretty
busy trying to get the books up to date. He also told me about Gene Richardson’s death.
I went to the movie ton-night but the projector broke, so we didn’t get to see any of the show.
Don’t seem like tomorrow is Easter Sunday. Time has passed pretty fast for me. I am going to
church - 9:30 tomorrow morning. I was just thinking about the time you came to K.C, that was around
Easter. I was sure glad to see you, you were wearing a new suit and hat. I’d give anything to see you
now, darling.
No honey, I’m not in the Fourth Air Force any more, I’m in The Tenth. Does this answer your
question?
Today was payday, some of the boys are playing poker and shooting craps tonight. I not going to
play any tonight, its too hot. Fiola and I are in his tent writing letters. We just drank a can of beer but it
didn’t seem to cool me off very much.
I’m sending you something for Easter but it will be a little late. I got something for Diana too.
Happy Easter darling.
I love you Mary.
Your husband,
Earl
