Dearest Mary,
No mail today, I can’t complain though after getting so much yesterday. I’m answering some
more of your letters tonight. When I get a bunch like that I answer one or two a day, then I have more to
write about. I wrote to Dad today. I try to write him every week, now that I have time.
I was going to the show tonight but some of the boys said that it was no good, so I’ll wait until
the next one.
We had chilli for supper, it was pretty good. We have it once every week.
I don’t suppose you like having all that snow and cold weather. How cold has it been back
home? The weather is warm here, and the days are all clear.
No, I’ve not heard from riley for a long time, he should write pretty soon.
I love you with all my heart, darling.
Your husband,
Earl
